Nely Princess of Chateau Mcely

“Nely Princess of Chateau Mcely” fairytale book
Charmingly illustrated children's book that wants to attract, entertain and stimulate not only little girls, but also their mothers.
The book, inspired by her daughter, was written in English by the current owner of Chateau Mcely, Inéz Cusumano. The story is soulfully illustrated by Alena Holá who knows the chateau in detail, as she lived there and participated in its revival through her murals. Both ladies thus freely followed the tradition started in 1910 by Princess Marie Thurn-Taxis when she wrote and illustrated the world-famous book “The Tea Party of Miss Moon” for her grandchildren, the Princes Louis and Raymond.
The main character of the story is an imaginative and precocious six-year-old girl named Nely who is growing up in a castle called Chateau Mcely in Central Bohemia. The castle and its English park currently serve its guests as an exclusive hotel and serve the little girl Nely as a wonder-filled playground. She can let her imagination fly free here and with great delight enjoys all the castle's amenities. She is a master at creating fantastical stories - she loves animals, beetles and wild cats, princess dresses, the color lilac and above all chocolate. This simple, dynamic story describes one of Nely’s summer days at the chateau. She wakes up in the morning to find that her parents are busy working and do not have time to play with her. On top of everything there are no children at the castle that day to play with either. Equipped with an unlimited imagination, recollections from her travels throughout the world with her parents and her Mom’s bedtime stories, she sets out on an exciting expedition. The whole world is to be discovered hidden inside the castle.
